Information we collect

When you request a quote or contact our Facebook Page, we may receive your name, Facebook Page-scoped user ID, profile picture where Meta makes it available, message text and attachments, email address, phone number, travel dates, pickup location, accommodation, passenger count, vehicle choice, and booking notes. Our website also uses basic analytics and security logs.

How we use information

We use this information to answer enquiries, prepare and send rental quotations, confirm bookings, arrange vehicle pickup and return, prevent duplicate requests, maintain availability, provide customer support, secure our services, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

Meta and Messenger

Messages sent to our Facebook Page may be delivered through Meta's Messenger Platform to our private operations dashboard. We use pages_messaging, pages_manage_metadata, and pages_show_list only to connect the Page, receive authorised webhook events, and let our team handle enquiries. We do not sell Messenger data or use it for unrelated advertising.

Sharing and service providers

Information is available only to authorised Santo Tropical staff and service providers needed to run the service, such as Meta, our website hosting provider, Microsoft 365 for approved email and calendar workflows, and security or analytics providers. We disclose information when required by law or to protect customers, staff, and our systems.

Storage and retention

Data is protected with access controls, HTTPS, signed webhook verification, and restricted administration. Enquiries and messages are kept only as long as needed for customer service, booking records, dispute handling, security, and legal obligations. Records no longer required are deleted or anonymised.

Your choices and rights

You may ask for access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion of personal information we hold. You can stop Messenger contact by not sending further messages or by blocking the Page. Removing our app from Facebook does not automatically remove records needed for an existing booking or legal obligation.
